Install Theme

Step 1: Install Theme Via WordPress Dashboard

  1. Go to 'Appearance > Themes' section
  2. Click 'Add New' and select the 'Upload Theme' option





  3. Choose the bookme.zip file and press 'Install Now'



  4. Once the theme is uploaded you need to activate it.



  5. Activating theme will take you to the theme options, Save the Theme Options Once So that theme options default values gets stored in the database.

if you face any problem during upload through dashboard, please upload the theme using FTP as guided below.

Step 2 (Alternative): Install Theme Via FTP

  1. Access your hosting server using an ftp client like FileZilla
  2. Go to the 'wp-content/themes' folder of your WordPress installation
  3. Extract the bookme.zip file and put the bookme folder in 'wp-content/themes/' folder
  4. Go to 'WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Themes' section to activate the theme
  5. Activating theme will take you to the theme options, Save the Theme Options Once So that theme options default values gets stored in the database.

Step 3: Install Child Theme

It is better to use child theme as if you need to modify anything you modify in child theme only. This way you can easily update your parent theme whenever new update becomes available on themeforest. You can read more about child theme from here.

To install child theme, you need to upload the bookme-childtheme.zip and activate it in the same way as you uploaded and activated the parent theme's bookme.zip.


Next Step is to Import Demo Contents

Import XML for Demo Contents

Look for Import XML folder in unzipped package downloaded from themeforest and use the XML within it.
Go to the WordPress Admin > Tools > Import and click WordPress as displayed in image below.



At 1st time you need to install WordPress importer plugin



Once installed you need to activate the plugin and run the importer.



Select the XML file from Import XML folder in unzipped package that you have downloaded from themeforest.



After importing XML file.

  1. Assign posts to an existing author.
  2. Mark the checkbox to download and import file attachments
  3. Click 'Submit' button



After that is done, you will have bunch of posts, pages, properties and other contents as on the theme demo.




Next Step is to Configure Menu

Configure Menus

Navigate to Appearance > Menus and use the Already Imported Menu from XML and assign it to theme location "Main Menu" from Menu Settings section below menu. After that save the menu. As pointed in screenshot below.




Next Step is to Configure Reading Settings

Create News Page

In case of imported XML the news page is already created and you do not need to follow this section.

To set up the News page you need to create a new page,

Go to Pages > Add New. You can give this page a title "News" yet you do not need to include any contents for now.

Select the “Default Template” template from the Page Attributes section, as displayed in screen shot below and click “Publish”.



Configure Reading Settings

I am assuming that you have imported the XML successfully and you have home page and news page available for use. If this is not the case then simply create a new page using Home Template and BookMe have eight home page template:

  1. Accounting
  2. Architect
  3. Attorney
  4. Barber
  5. Corporate Trainer
  6. Movers
  7. Therapy
  8. Trainer

To configure reading settings you need to visit WordPress Admin > Settings > Reading and choose that front page displays as static page. Then select one of seven homepage template Bookme. In case i choose Accounting page template for setup "Front page". As, displayed in screen shot below.

Next Step is to Configure Header

Configure Header



The header contains:

  1. Site's Logo
  2. Social Media
  3. Header Quote
  4. Contact Number
  5. Nav Menu

For Configure header section you just setup on BookMe Options, follow step below:

  1. Go to WordPress dashboard >> BookMe Option.
  2. Upload image (png file) for logo
  3. Enable header social icon if you want to activated it
  4. Enable header quote and fill your quote
  5. fill number phone
  6. Save it



Next Step is to Configure Slider Homepage

Configure Slider Homepage



For setup slider homepage, follow step below:

  1. Go Dashboard >> Pages >> Accounting, edit (in case i'm using Accounting page for front page)
  2. Click arrow "Slider Options" section
  3. Upload image for slider homepage
  4. Choose "Caption Position" what you want
  5. Fill Slider content small text and slider content
  6. Fill slider button 1 and slider button 2
  7. Save or update the page



Next Step is to Configure About Me on homepage

Configure About Me on homepage



For setup slider homepage, follow step below:

  1. Go Dashboard » Pages » Accounting, edit (in case i'm using Accounting page for front page)
  2. Click arrow "About Section"
  3. Fill the Small title text
  4. Fill about content, about more text, and about more URL
  5. Also you can add image on about section

Next Step is to Configure Services Homepage

Configure Service



For setup Services section on homepage, follow step below:

1. Go to Dashboard » Services » Add Service


2. Setup Service to show on homepage section

After add Service, next step is how to "Service" appear on homepage section.

  1. Go Dashboard » Pages » Accounting, edit (in the case i'm using Accounting page for front page).
  2. Click arrow "Services Section"
  3. At "Service 1", Fill the colomn with service of data what you want to show on homepage section.
  4. If you done with "services 1", you can do it the same to "Services 2" and "Services 3".



Next Step is to Configure Blog post Homepage

Configure Blog Post on Homepage



1. Go to Dashboard » Posts » Add New Post


2. Setup Blog post to show on homepage section

After add Service, next step is how to "Blog post" appear on homepage section.

  1. Go Dashboard » Pages » Accounting, edit (in the case i'm using Accounting page for front page).
  2. Click arrow "News Section"
  3. Fill all colomn on "News Section".
  4. Fill "More Button UL" with Blog page's URL
  5. Also setup Post tag, it's mean post tag what you want appear on Blog post homepage.



Next Step is to Configure Facts on Homepage

Configure Facts on Homepage



For setup Facts on homepage, follow step below:

  1. Go Dashboard >> Pages >> Accounting, edit (in case i'm using Accounting page for front page)
  2. Click arrow "Facts Section"
  3. Fill Section small text, Section title, Section description


  4. Create "Fact 1" to appear on Homepage
  5. You can use icon with Fontawesome code, you can get the code here. Or Upload image because you have created icon image



  6. If you done create "Fact 1", next step add new facts and do the same when you create "Facts-1"


  7. If all done, click "Save" Accounting page.

Next Step is to Configure Testimony & Contact on Homepage

Configure Testimony & Contact on Homepage



For setup Testimony & Contact on Homepage, follow step below:

1. Create Testimonials:

Go to Dashboard » Testimonials » Add New


2. Create Contact Form:

  • After installed BookMe theme, you will get warning for install recommends plugin: Contact Form 7, Easy Custom Sidebar, WP Retina 2x, and WP User Avata.



  • Install all plugins and activated. If you done, Go to Dashboard » Contact » Add New



  • And Save it if you done.
  • Now, your Contact Form 7 "Contact form 1" has created.

3. Setup Testimony & Contact to show on homepage section

After create testimonial and create contact form with Contact form 7, next step is how to "Testimony & Contact Form" appear on homepage section.

  1. Go Dashboard » Pages » Accounting, edit (in the case i'm using Accounting page for front page).
  2. Click arrow "Testimonials Section"
  3. Fill all colomn on "Testimonials Section".
  4. If you done fill all colomn "Testimonials Section", now select "Contact Form 7" fill with Contact form 7 has you created
  5. And then save it



Next Step is to Configure About detail on Homepage

Configure About Detail on Homepage



For setup About Detail on homepage, follow step below:

  1. Go Dashboard >> Pages >> Accounting, edit (in case i'm using Accounting page for front page)
  2. Click arrow "About detail Section"
  3. Fill Section small text for the title of about detail, and section content


  4. Create "Detail 1" to appear on Homepage.
  5. You can use icon with Fontawesome code, you can get the code here. Or Upload image because you have created icon image



  6. If you done create "Detail 1", next step add new About Detail and do the same when you created "Detail 1"


  7. The last fill colonm "More Button Text" and Book Button Text


  8. If all done, click "Save" Accounting page.

Next Step is to Configure Client on Homepage

Configure Client Section on Homepage



For setup Client Section on Homepage, follow step below:

1. Create Client:

Go to Dashboard » Client » Add New


2. Setup Client section to show on homepage section

After create add new Client, next step is how to "Your Client" appear on homepage section.

  1. Go Dashboard » Pages » Accounting, edit (in the case i'm using Accounting page for front page).
  2. Click arrow "Clients Section"
  3. Fill all colomn on "Clients Section".
  4. Select "Clients Category" and choose clients category what you want to on homepage.
  5. And then save it



Next Step is to Configure About detail on Homepage

Configure Appointment Section on Homepage



For create this section you must buy "Booked - Appointment Booking for WordPress" plugin, you can buy Here.
If you have ready purchased that plugin. Let's start how to setup this section.

  1. Go Dashboard » Pages » Accounting, edit (in the case i'm using Accounting page for front page).
  2. Click Arrow "Parallax Section"
  3. Upload image for background this section.
  4. Fill Section small text for tagline
  5. Fill content for description this section.
  6. Fill Feature logo text
  7. Upload feature image
  8. Checklist for enable book calendar.
  9. Fill Title for Book calendar.
  10. Fill Booked shortcode, you will find booked shortcode at Dashboard » Appointment » Settings » Shortcodes.

  11. Save it if you done.



Next Step is to Configure Footer Section on Homepage

Setup Social Media

Social Media will appear on Header and Contact Page, for setup social media you just go to dashboard » bookme option » Social Media.




Next Step is to Setup Contact on BookMe Option

Setup Contact

Setup Contact form on bookme option will appear on Contact Page, for setup Contact you just go to dashboard » bookme option » Pages » Contact.




Next Step is to Setup Contact on BookMe Option

Setup Service Archive

Before setup Service Archive on Bookme Option, First you must create Services page.

  1. Go to Dashboard » Pages » Add New Pages
  2. Create Services page use "Services Archive Page" template.
  3. Publish if you done.



If you have created Service page, next step go to BookMe Options » Page » Services Archive.

  1. Go to Dashboard » BookMen Option » Page » Service Archive
  2. Fill colomn in Service Archive
    • Upload image for the archive content background.
    • Fill Archive content small text colomn for Tagline.
    • Fill Archive content title colomn for Title Service.
    • Fill Archive content description colomn for Service Description.


  3. Fill colomn in Service Detail.
    • Upload image for Service detail backgorund
    • You can use icon with Fontawesome code, you can get the code here. Or you can Upload image because you have created icon image
    • Fill Archive content small text colomn for Tagline your service.
    • Fill Archive content title colomn for Title Service.
    • Fill Archive content description colomn for Service Description.
    • And the last fill the colomn for "Read More Button"


  4. If you done with Service detail 1, next step is create Service Detail 2 and Service Detail 3 like created before.


Next Step is to Setup 404 page on BookMe Option

Setup 404 (Error) Pages

For setup 404 (error) pages, you just setup on BookMe Options, follow step below:

  1. Go to WordPress dashboard » BookMe Option » Page » 404 Error.
  2. Fill 404 left Content colomn
  3. Fill "Right Content Title" and "Editor" colomn for 404 Right Content section.
  4. Select Error 404 Menu want to appear on 404 pages. But first you must create custom menu at Dashboard » Appearance » Menus.
  5. fill Button text and fill button URL.
  6. Save it



Next Step is to Setup Footer Homepage

Create Team


Your team has created will appear on About Us page section. I am assuming that you have created About Us page, so let start to setup Team Section on About Us page, follow step below:

1. Create Team:

Go to Dashboard » Team » Add New


2. Setup Team section to show on About Us page section

After create add team, next step is how to "Your Team" appear on about us section.

  1. Go Dashboard » Pages » About Us page, and edit
  2. Click arrow "Team Section"
  3. Fill Team selection small text for tagline your team
  4. Fill Team section title for title of team.
  5. Fill Team section description
  6. Select Team Category if some team of division
  7. And then save it



Next Step is to Create Project

Create Project


The Project section will appear on Architect page section and Movers page section. I am assuming that you have created Architect page using Architect page template, so let start to create Project, and how to setup Architect page. Follow step below:

1. Create Project:

Go to Dashboard » Project » Add New


2. Setup Project section to show on Architect page section

After create add new project, next step is how to "Your Porject" appear on Architect page section.

  1. Go Dashboard » Pages » Architect page, and edit
  2. Click arrow "Project Section"
  3. Fill all colomn on Project Section.
  4. Select Project Type what you want to appear on Achitect page.
  5. And then save it



Next Step is to Create Portfolio

Create Portfolio


The Portfolio will appear on Portfolio page. I am assuming that you have created Portfolio page using Portfolio page template, so let start to create Portfolio. Follow step below:

1. Create Portfolio:

Go to Dashboard » Portfolio » Add New


2. Setup Portfolio page

After create add new portfolio, your portfolio will automatically appear on Portfolio page.

  1. Go Dashboard » Portfolio » All Portfolio, select portfolio want you edit.
  2. Click arrow "Portfolio Option"
  3. Select Portfolio Column (2 Columns or 3 Columns)
  4. Fill Portfolio subtitle.
  5. And then save it



Next Step is to Create Pricing

Create Pricing


The Pricing section will appear on Barber page section. I am assuming that you have created Barber page using Barber page template, so let start to create Pricing, and how to setup Barber page. Follow step below:

1. Create Pricing:

Go to Dashboard » Pricing » Add New


2. Setup Pricing section to show on Barber page section

After create add new pricing, next step is how to "Pricing" appear on Barber page section.

  1. Go Dashboard » Pages » Barber page, and edit
  2. Click arrow "Pricing Option"
  3. Fill Pricing small text for tagline.
  4. Fill Pricing sub title for title of pricing section
  5. Select Pricing category what you want to appear on Barber page.
  6. And then save it
